迪士尼的发展历程

华特迪士尼公司（英文简称：DISNEY:，英文名称：The Walt Disney Company，TWDC，中文简称迪士尼或迪士尼公司）在1995年之前，中国大陆曾译作沃尔特迪斯尼、中国台湾省曾译作华特狄斯奈、华德狄斯奈或华德迪斯奈，中国香港曾译作和路迪士尼，由创始人华特·迪士尼于1923年创立。

华特迪士尼公司旗下的电影发行品牌有：华特迪士尼影片（Walt Disney Pictures），试金石影片（台：正金石，Touchstone Pictures）、好莱坞影片（Hollywood Pictures）、米拉麦克斯影片（Miramax Films）、二十世纪电影公司（20th Century Studios,LLC）、帝门影片（台译：次元影业，Dimension Films）、皮克斯动画工作室（Pixar Animation Studios）、漫威影业（Marvel Studios,LLC）。

华特迪士尼、试金石、好莱坞三个品牌与金牌电影制作人杰瑞·布洛克海默有过十余次合作。迪士尼与吉卜力有发行方面的合作。

华特迪士尼公司拥有迪士尼乐园度假区、华特迪士尼世界，授权经营巴黎迪士尼度假区、东京迪士尼度假区、中国香港迪士尼度假区和中国上海迪士尼乐园度假区。2016年6月16日，中国大陆地区上海迪士尼乐园正式开园。

2019年10月，2019福布斯全球数字经济100强榜第9位。2020年1月22日，名列2020年《财富》全球最受赞赏公司榜单第4位；2月25日，公司董事会宣布提名迪士尼乐园董事长Bob Chapek为公司新任CEO。

发展历程

1923-1939

·1923年：由华特和他哥哥洛伊·O·迪士尼创办的迪士尼兄弟工作室制作the Alice in Cartoonland系列

·1927年：《爱》剧结束，华特获得动画片Oswald the Lucky Rabbit合同。

·1928年：华特失去《Oswald》剧合同，出品影史上第一部有声卡通片《汽船威利号》，由米老鼠主演。

·1929年：首集糊涂交响曲：骷髅之舞

·1930年：布鲁托角色首次出现

·1932年：First three-strip Technicolor short released:花与树；高飞狗首次亮相

·1934年：唐老鸭角色首次出现

·1937年：出品第一部电影《白雪公主》

1940-1966

·1940年：搬迁到加利福尼亚的Burbank，到今天一直在此

·1941年：迪士尼漫画家罢工，因为当时美国卷入二战,公司开始为政府制作鼓舞士气的宣传片

·1944年：公司资金短缺，白雪公主成功演出剧院版，为公司解决了经济上的燃眉之急。从此后，将动画片在剧院重演成为一种新的模式。

·1945年：The studio hires its first-ever live actor for a film,James Baskett,to star as Uncle Remus in南方之歌

·1949年：The studio begins production on its first all-live action feature,金银岛;the popular True-Life Adventures series begins

·1954年：The studio founds'Buena Vista Distribution Company,Inc.'to distribute its feature films;beginning of the Disneyland TV program

·1955年：加利福尼亚阿纳海姆迪士尼乐园建成开放

·1961年：The studio licenses the film rights to小熊维尼,whose characters continue to be highly profitable to this day;international distribution arm Buena Vista International is established

·1964年：为筹建华特迪士尼世界，公司在佛罗里达州的奥兰多附近购买土地

·1965年：The regular production of short subjects ceases,as theatres no longer have any demand for them

·1966年：华特·迪士尼逝世

1967-1984

·1967年：Construction begins on华特迪士尼世界；the underlying governmental structure(see Reedy Creek Improvement District)is signed into law

·1971年：奥兰多华特迪士尼世界建成开放；洛伊·O·迪士尼去世

·1977年：洛伊·E·迪士尼，洛伊·O·迪士尼之子，华特·迪士尼侄子，resigns from the company citing a decline in overall product quality

·1978年：The studio licenses several minor titles to MCA Discovision for laserdisc release;only TV compilations of cartoons ever see the light of day through this deal

·1979年：Don Bluth and a number of his allies leave the animation division;the studio releases its first PG-rated film，黑洞

·1980年：Tom Wilhite becomes head of the film division with the intent of modernizing studio product;a home video division is created

·1981年：宣布有线电视网络计划

·1982年：EPCOT Center opens at华特迪士尼世界

·1983年：As the anthology series is canceled,迪士尼频道begins operation on US cable systems;Tom Wilhite resigns his post;东京迪士尼乐园opens in Japan

·1984年：试金石影片is created;after the studio narrowly escapes a buyout attempt by Saul Steinberg，洛伊·E·迪士尼and his business partner,Stanley Gold,remove the current board of directors,replacing them with Michael Eisner,Jeffrey Katzenberg,and Frank Wells

1985-1999

·1985年：开始为电视制作卡通，发行录像带版《木偶奇遇记》大获成功

·1986年：子公司试金石影片发行第一部R级电影；短篇动画系列复活；公司名称也从「华特迪士尼制片厂」改为「华特迪士尼公司」。

·1989年：迪士尼提议买下吉姆韩森（Jim Henson）的Muppets公司，并将其下之操偶师纳入迪士尼；迪士尼-米高梅制片厂在华特迪士尼影片开幕。

·1990年：Jim Henson's death sours the deal to buy his holdings;the anthology series canceled for second time

·1992年：具有争议的欧洲迪士尼乐园在巴黎以东23公里处，巴黎市郊马恩河谷镇开幕。

·1993年：迪士尼买下「米拉麦克斯影片」；「小熊维尼」的商品销售首度超越米老鼠；the policy of periodic theatrical re-issues ends with this year's re-issue of白雪公主but is augmented for video

·1994年：Frank Wells死于直升机坠毁；Jeffrey Katzenberg resigns to co-found his own studio，梦工厂

·1995年：十月雇用好莱坞超级经理人Michael Ovitz为执行长。

·1996年：The company takes on the"Disney Enterprises"name and acquires the美国广播公司television network and Jumbo Pictures;in December,Michael Ovitz,president of the company,leaves"by mutual consent"

·1997年：The anthology series is revived again;the home video division releases its first DVDs

·1998年：华特迪士尼世界迪士尼动物王国开放

21世纪

·2001年：Disney-owned TV channels are pulled from Time Warner Cable briefly during a dispute over carriage fees;Disney's California Adventure opens to the public;迪斯尼发行华特·迪士尼珍藏版DVD套装

·2003年：洛伊·E·迪士尼again resigns as head of animation and from the board of directors,citing similar reasons to those that drove him off 26 years earlier;fellow director Stanley Gold resigns with him;they establish"Save Disney"to apply public pressure to oust Michael Eisner

·2003年：加勒比海盗成为迪士尼的第一部评为PG-13的影片。

·2004年：与皮克斯的谈判失败（当前合同于2006年终止）；Disney announces it will convert its迪士尼动画片场to all computer-animated production

·宣布关闭佛罗里达电影动画部

·Comcast makes a billion unsolicited bid to buy The Walt Disney Company（4月份撤销）；

·Disney purchases rights to提线木偶；

·沙漠奇兵is the second real PG-13-rated flick to be released by Walt Disney Pictures，但是后来改由试金石影片发行；

·43%的公司股东对Michael Eisner投不信任票，Eisner的董事长职务被革除（但是保留了CEO职务），George J.Mitchell继任

2005年：香港迪士尼度假区於香港开幕

2006年：皮克斯被迪士尼以74亿美元收购，成为华特迪士尼公司的一部分。

2009年：Marvel Entertainment被迪士尼以40亿美元收购。同年11月4日，迪士尼与中国政府达成协议，批准在上海浦东兴建迪士尼乐园，首期工程预期于最快2014年落成。

洛伊·E·迪士尼因胃癌过世

在2013年10月25日，华特迪士尼公司中国正式宣布，计划在上海陆家嘴金融商业区打造公司第一个、也是世界最大的迪士尼旗舰店。占地面积约5000平方米的迪士尼商店坐落于繁华的上海浦东陆家嘴金融区，计划于2015年年初正式对外开放。即将落户的迪士尼商店，将由零售区域和迪士尼主题的户外广场组成。上海迪士尼度假区将于2016年6月16日正式营业

2016年6月16日，中国大陆地区上海迪士尼乐园正式开园。

2018年7月27日，迪士尼公司以713亿美元收购福克斯的电影和电视资产。

2020年2月25日，华特迪士尼公司董事会宣布提名迪士尼乐园董事长Bob Chapek为公司新任CEO，他成为迪士尼历史上第七位CEO；原迪士尼CEO罗伯特·艾格成为迪士尼执行董事长，并指导公司的创意工作。

2020年2月25日，罗伯特·艾格正式卸任迪士尼公司首席执行官，新任CEO将由鲍勃·查佩克接替。
